I have always been interested in DJing and mixing, but have never really given it a shot. I know I don’t have a career in it, but who says you can’t have some fun? I’ve been doing quite a bit of reading about “laptop DJing” – The act of DJing with digital music files and a virtual turntable and mixer. I’m using VirtualDJ which is hands down the best program. I have used DiscoXT as well as Traktor Pro and I have to say, I prefer VirtualJ. It’s simplistic while still packed with plenty of features. The automix feature is nice but I prefer to do the crossfading myself!
