DIY Etch-a-Sketch Monome

User Chili over on Vimeo.com uploaded a video of his DIY monome, cleverly called the “Fresh a Sketch.” From the site:

Introducing the Fresh-a-Sketch! a monome 40h kit built into an old Etch-a-Sketch complete with working pots knobs and two infrared controllers… Think DIY D-beams!

I’m using monome_midi_64 from monome base to route monome presses to Ableton Live. The adc function of this patch makes it handy for mapping the pots and beams…

Ableton is basically acting as a sampler in clip view with some midi mappings and macros for the fx chains…

all clips are mapped to buttons, the bottom two rows are dedicated to the Finger, knobs and beams are assigned to parameters of that plugin…
