Alright, so I guess I’m catching the wave a little late… Late last night I was surfing reddit and saw a post about the new track Beautician 2.0 from Dillon Francis. I was completely in shock when the track started – the beat was like nothing that I have ever heard before. I think if a DJ dropped this in a club, I could definitely see myself moving to it. The beat isn’t the usual fast-paced club music, but it’s still groovy as hell.
Beautician 2.0 will drop this Friday, available …

If you take even a brief glance at the Soundcloud page of Minnesota, you’ll see that the guy has accumulated a serious number of plays on his account. And while that is visibly very impressive, the true magic begins once you hit the play button.
His Ancient Machines EP dropped two days ago on Mal Label (Mochipet, Getter, Dr. Knobz) and already it has received a huge positive response from fans and producers alike. The spirit of West coast bass culture is very alive in the tracks on Ancient Machines, and …

Discordia EP is 23’s long-awaited debut release. Coming out on Heavy Artillery Recordings via Beatport, this will rock your speakers.
The first song is ‘Let’s Go To Lavender Town’, which uses the tune from the infamous song from Pokemon Red/Green. ‘Why is it infamous?’, you may ask. Well, a story emerged that when Pokemon Red and Green were first released in 1996, there was a peak in suicides of children aged 10-15. The children would develop severe mental illnesses when they heard the music while playing the game, and some were …

The drug culture is not what it used to be. Over the last month our group has tested nearly 2,500 substance samples presented to us by patrons of music festivals and concerts.
The results have been truly sobering. Nearly 100% of samples are cut with one or more substances, and they aren’t using baking soda anymore.
Research chemicals, sold as “bath salts” or “plant food” have become an alarming issue. Nearly 60% of “Molly” (MDMA powder) samples tested at Wakarusa, Bonnaroo, Electric Forest and Camp Bisco contained large quantities of or were …

It’s no secret that the pop scene has been blatantly ripping off the sounds and styles of the electronica dance music scene. Many artists are doing it – Pitbull, Jennifer Lopez, etc. While that may bother or upset many people, you can rest assured that there will always be people out there who just simply do it better.
Enter Dixie, a successful yet humble DJ and producer from Australia who thought the original version of Party Rock Anthem from LMFAO was utter shit and needed a makeover. I’d say he’s gone …

It’s a little hard to believe but Wolfgang Gartner JUST got an account on Soundcloud.com, so hopefully over the next couple weeks he’ll be uploading some quality electro house tunes! I think Wolfgang was definitely one of the first producers to help define electro house as we know and love it today – the modern fusion of electro and house. His new track Ménage à Trois track has a pretty new sound to it and I definitely think he’s stepped up his game!
Show Wolfgang a warm welcome by following him …

I’m just gonna go out on a limb here and say that this guy does Skrillex way better than Skrillex. Let’s see if that gets the hate wagon rolling, eh? In all seriousness, Zomboy, who I have previously never heard of, blows the lid off anything I’ve heard in a while.
The fun doesn’t stop there, either – check out his Soundcloud for a whole weekend’s worth of amazing original tracks and remixes.

Funkagenda has uploaded two preview clips of some upcoming tracks, which are apparantly going to be featured on a compilation put out by Funk Farm. Unfortunately those are the only details posted so far, I’m sure more news regarding the album will be released soon! Check out Aphonia and Pebbles below.
The track Aphonia is more of a progressive trance track whereas Pebbles is definitely a funky tech house song. Enjoy!
