Soundcloud Makes HTML5 The Default Player

Tech savvy Soundcloud users have undoubtedly noticed something a little different the last time they went to embed a track. Soundcloud first introduced the HTML5 player as a beta option back in November, but the HTML5 player is now set as the default option. The change is appropriate as Soundcloud’s mobile traffic has grown tremendously over the last year. Even free file hosts such as Hulkshare are embracing HTML5 technology.
Personally I prefer the flash player more as it’s a little more sleek and streamlined, but the HTML5 player makes sense. The web is shifting towards mobility and flash is unsupported on many mobile devices. Fortunately however, the flash player is still available for people like me.
What are your thoughts? Do you like the new player?
