Although he’s already had some massive tours, L.A Riots still has time to make appearances at places such as the Yost Theater in the OC like he did this past Saturday.
To say that Mr. LeDisko had the crowd moving is a total understatement. Although the venue was filled with casual clubbers that wouldn’t necessarily be familiar with LA RIOTS as anything special, you wouldn’t have been able to tell from a “God’s Eye” perspective. Daniel progressivley built upon each song he dropped to make for a set that seemed well put together.

If you’ve been floating around the bass music scene this year, you’ve undoubtedly heard the nostalgic Jump-Up anthem that is ‘Reach’ by Tantrum Desire. Veteran innovators in the modern Drum & Bass scene, the production duo continues their legacy with another dancefloor destroyer engineered to perfection.
‘Get With It’ and the VIP remix of ‘Reach’ both take a step forward, building on the same rowdy vibes from the original. Fully saturated with juicy bass on top of enormous drum kits, both tracks deliver everything you want a huge …

One of the most consistently original producers on the bass music playing field, 501 is at it again. Part of the UKF ‘Never Say Die’ compilation, his new track reminds me why I get so excited every time I see a new release from this amazing producer. Starting off with some beautiful misdirection, ‘Chasing Stars’ builds through an uplifting house melody then drops into that delicious melodic filth that makes my ears so happy. This track along with the entire compilation is available now on iTunes, so …

I know that vocoders, massively overdriven filters, and modern talking patches are all the rage these days, and don’t get me wrong – I love the whole brostep craze, but there comes a point when you meet kids who think Sonny Moore is the godfather of dubstep yet they don’t even truly know who Benga or Caspa is, nor do they even know what dub is. You don’t necessarily have to enjoy them, just know who they are and appreciate them for what they’ve done. The same can be said …

This newest release is a double header, with Terminal and Hurricane.
Although he doesn’t list Armin as one of his influneces on his Facebook, he clearly has taken something from his book because there is something that is classically an Armada sound to …

These two Russian trios are collaborating once again. Releasing through Afrojack’s WALL imprint (which is part of Spinnin’), the collaboration has resulted in a big room electro BANGER.
Incorporating a progressive style with electro sound, this one is for the club. What builds with high-pitched alarm like synths (think similar to the dirty dutch style), wobble-like synthesizer undertones and a guitar-based riff, twists into a progressive jump-up tune. The tune’s midsection is where the melodic riffs really shine as it builds with an isolated solo section that really serves to create a …

The EDM scene is not exactly easy to emerge on to. In every sub genre there are leaders, old and new, that more or less dominate the scene, but every now and then theres a young aspiring producer that demands everyones attention with their high quality production.

Hmm, do research essay or post Knife Party EP? These are the problems in my life, people. After several delays, numerous low quality rips and fan made loops, the highly anticipated release of Rage Valley is finally almost here, due to drop May 27th. You know the situation has been serious though when an EP has its own meme!
The genre format of this release follows the suit of their previous release, 100% No Modern Talking. After listening to the entire EP multiple times, I’d have to say my favorite track …
