MTV has announced today that electro house artist Deadmau5 will  be performing and “DJing” for the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards.
Sure the exposure is GREAT for his sales but in my honest opinion I don’t think it will do anything for his production. Many fans already feel that his production quality is going down hill, and I don’t think 100,000 new MTV-crazed fans will add anything to his name.

The renowned dubstep producer Tomba is set to release his much anticipated EP early August, probably after his release party on the 6th. Reddit.com users requested that deadmau5 post in the AMA subreddit. For those not familiar, the /r/AMA section stands for Ask Me Anything, where people with interesting lives/careers field questions from reddit users. The mau5 himself declined rather bluntly via his Facebook (the post has since been deleted). Electronic hip/hop artist RJD2 dropped his new album Inversions of the Colossus yesterday. However, it is not an entirely new album. Here’s why:

Sonny has really turned a page on his electro-endeavors with his newly posted dubstep/grime track “Father Said” on his myspace. Word of warning – this song is straight DIRRRRTTTY.
