Loodma Recordings has become known for a certain aesthetic with their releases that can only be described as emotive, deep, melodic, and beautiful. Artist Ghosts of Paraguay is the latest to release through this imprint, and with his new On The Run EP, it is clear that he fits within that Loodma mold.
The 4-track EP is hypnotic with it’s lush sound design, atmospheric vibes and melodic production. There’s something about the deep nature of this release that would fit in nicely with an after-hours set or a classy lounge. Possibly …

Bringing sunshine indoors is now possible with this lush composition from the master himself Jody Wisternoff. Through a 25 year career its clear that Jody continues to explore his style and sounds respectively. It’s always a good day when Derek Vincent Smith, the man behind Pretty Lights, releases a new track. His first offering since “We Must Go On“, “You Get High” is an exciting glitch hop track, complete with classic PL-warped vocals, drumline percussion, and badass bass. Derek writes of the track, “”You Get High” is a new style hip-hop jam that incorporates what I think sounds like a slow-mo disco stomp. It’s soulful and funky at the same time and it’s all about the high you feel when listening to good music.” …

Calling Anjunabeats Worldwide 04 a masterpiece would be a understatement. Known for featuring talented up-and-coming trance artists, this release is powered by the likes of Maor Levi and the long time Anjuna resident Krzysztof Pretkiewicz known as Nitrous Oxide.
Disc 1 is mixed by the Israeli producer Maor Levi who got his start at the ripe age of 11 and then progressed to his first release with “Lital” in 2006 on Anjunadeep. After a mandatory stint in the Israeli Army, Maor came back rejuvenated and started to establish himself in music again. Starting from …

No article for this – too busy spacing out.
Seriously though, what are you expecting from me? Is there ever a bad release from Burial & Four Tet? That said, is there ever a bad release from Burial? We’ve seen a few releases from this duo, and all have been spectacular, namely Moth / Wolf Cub. However, I guess you’re still reading this because you want a critical analysis, so here goes. Initially, we get a beautiful intro with some ghostly female vocals. Then we get some a very simple lead …

I’ve got a Q&A style interview with Liquid Stranger ready to post soon which I am honestly SO pumped to be sharing with you all… The LS fans will undoubtedly love reading what he has to say, and perhaps some non-LS listeners will reconsider after reading his answers. Liquid Stranger is famous for his recent filthy dubstep tracks such as Bully and Exit The Vault so the ambient / chill stuff I’m posting may be a surprise for his more recent fans.
His latest release gets back in touch with his …
