About a month ago we interviewed SoCal dubstep producer We Bang, 1/2 of Mustache Riot. In addition to having tracks released on Reid Speed’s Play Me Records, We Bang heads up his own label, Smashed Beatz. The label has steadily been growing, and now they have released the debut EP from Denver bass producer, ForeverKID.
Mazzaroth E.P. is a 5 track release featuring dubstep, drumstep and drum & bass tunes.  With collaborations from Direct Feed, Rostik, and the aforementioned We Bang, this is collection of some hard hitting bass monsters.  This EP …

Every time I see a Camo & Krooked track come across my radar I get tense with excitement, because these guys are truly two of the best artists in the game right now. They absolutely owned 2011 as far as melodic bass music goes, and their new remix shows that they haven’t slowed down. A high-energy take on the original, C&K show their ability to inject their hype into other peoples music.
This remix along with the original and two other remixes were officially released yesterday (on Amazon of all …

Sub Focus has really come into his own the last couple years with productions like Rock It and his remix of Rusko’s Hold On.  Now we have another original, Out the Blue.  Featuring vocals from Alice Gold, Sub Focus takes you on a ride littered with quick breaks, light and seemingly anime-inspired melodies, and transports you the oceanside, like you’re jet-skiing across some waves.  There’s something awesomely uplifting and dancey about this track.  I expect this to be an anthem this summer at drum and bass raves.
The EP also features remixes from …

Needless to say, Xilent’s world has changed significantly.
In the midst of all this mayhem, Xilent somehow managed found time to …

Emerging from the Amazon are two well established names aimed at becoming one of the most prestigious partnerships in Jungle music. These two Brazilian boys, DJ Marky & S.P.Y., are no strangers to the 170+ flavor of EDM. Maybe my perception is skewed due to playing the demo to Batman: Arkham Asylum all morning, but the introduction to this song really seems like it would fit into the game well. That’s it, I’m contacting the developers to see if this piece will make it into the next Batman console game! Now that I think of it, I could actually see this in Quentin Tarantino’s Death Proof too.
