Moguai-Tommy-Trash-In-N-Out

When I read that Tommy Trash and Moguai would be collaborating, I was intruiged to say the least. They come from complete polar opposite ends of the spectrum – Moguai being soft, clean, and progressive while Tommy Trash brings us, well, the trashy, dirty, filthy electro tracks. The original mix of In N Out is easily both of their styles – clean progressive beats, lots of melody interlaced with shredding electro synthesizers.
The club mix from Tommy Trash is all Tommy I must say. The track starts off with a deep …

The next installment in their summer release series, V.I.P. (Violently Ill Productions), ElectroJams homeboys Free n Losh have another one for you.  Cool Side of the Pillow, is a track that blends elements of nu-disco and electro house and even a dubstep-style breakdown in halftime.Although trying to classify it might do more harm than good. this track takes quite a few different directions and it all works.

Although he’s already had some massive tours, L.A Riots still has time to make appearances at places such as the Yost Theater in the OC like he did this past Saturday.
To say that Mr. LeDisko had the crowd moving is a total understatement. Although the venue was filled with casual clubbers that wouldn’t necessarily be familiar with LA RIOTS as anything special, you wouldn’t have been able to tell from a “God’s Eye” perspective. Daniel progressivley built upon each song he dropped to make for a set that seemed well put together.
Variety is the keyword …

These two Russian trios are collaborating once again.  Releasing through Afrojack’s WALL imprint (which is part of Spinnin’), the collaboration has resulted in a big room electro BANGER.
Incorporating a progressive style with electro sound, this one is for the club.  What builds with high-pitched alarm like synths (think similar to the dirty dutch style), wobble-like synthesizer undertones and a guitar-based riff, twists into a progressive jump-up tune.  The tune’s midsection is where the melodic riffs really shine as it builds with an isolated solo section that really serves to create a …

savoy-logo

So earlier tonight I was cruising around Twitter as usual, making some chit chat and checking out links. I saw a tweet from Spinnin Records regarding a new release from SAVOY. I knew the name sounded familiar so I had to check it out. I love almost everything on Spinnin’ so I knew it was really going to be good. I was absolutely blown away by what I heard. I actually listened to the dubstep remix first, but I was equally impressed by the original mix as well. The original …

revolvr

Las Vegas-based producer Revolvr has taken top 40 hit We Are Young and given it a whole new progressive house feel. Taking the vocals of the original, Revolvr has given this one an infectious cut, with it’s electro sounds yet progressive melodies and structure. While many DJs have lately remixed Gotye or Flo Rida, it’s nice to see someone take this indie hit and turn into a dancefloor destroyer.
Check it here.

After the success of his debut single Keep It Down, it was only natural for rising producer Northend to return to the studio and try to outdo himself. His brand new track, out June 4th, is one of the most unique fusions of progressive trance and electro house that I’ve ever heard. The track contstantly shifts gears from beautiful melodies and trance chords to ripping and roaring electro synths that creates a massive amount of tension and build up, but in a way that isn’t jarring or hard on you. …

knife party - rage valley

Hmm, do research essay or post Knife Party EP? These are the problems in my life, people. After several delays, numerous low quality rips and fan made loops, the highly anticipated release of Rage Valley is finally almost here, due to drop May 27th. You know the situation has been serious though when an EP has its own meme!
The genre format of this release follows the suit of their previous release, 100% No Modern Talking. After listening to the entire EP multiple times, I’d have to say my favorite track …

DadaLife

The Swedish duo has become famous for their greasy electro bangers and their banana-peelin’ and champagne poppin’ antics, and now Dada Life is back with a new remix of polarizing pop star Justin Bieber’s Girlfriend.
Taking a bit of different turn from their normal electro heavy hitters, Dada Life has given the track a more progressive and big room feel to it.  But don’t worry it still has the signature Dada sound to it.
Dada Life will be at EDC and Starscape and a host of other events this summer through out …

Wolfgang Gartner

The maestro of electro house, Wolfgang Gartner, has just put out a preview of his upcoming track “Flexx”, stating that he will release the track in three to four weeks. Wolfgang uploaded the preview in response to a barrage of negativity he received from fans disgruntled at his most recent productions, which were far more progressive house sounding than the style he is known for. Gartner responded to the petty criticism on his Facebook, writing, “I have 6 more [tracks] finished, and none of them are progressive house. They’re all …
