Deadmau5 – Get in the October Cart, Pig

Deadmau5 has uploaded the revised and finalized version of his earlier track Get In The Cart, Pig and renamed it Get In The October Cart, Pig. What I noticed immediately is the “plucking” synth seems to be a little more pronounced but it still features the catchy tech house beat, capped off with some gentle progressive melodies.
Here’s the original mix:

Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman – Roll the Dice (Original Mix)

With the explosion of Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike onto the EDM scene after their Tomorrowland exposure, it’s easy to overlook the Swedish pair Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman, who boast a very similar name for their duo. Perhaps their names are not all that similar, and really this is just a consequence of the overabundance of producers in EDM world, and the vexing task of attempting to familiarize one’s self with all of them. Fear not though, with today’s fantastic new offering, “Roll the Dice”, this is one Swedish duo …

Laidback Luke, Arno Cost & Norman Doray – Trilogy (Original Mix)

The hotly anticipated, HUGE offering from Laidback Luke and French house heads Arno Cost & Norman Doray,”Trilogy”, has been released today on Mixmash Records. With classic piano chord progression, the staple of any modern stadium banger, a harmonic vocal sample turned melody, and some bouncy bass, this track is begging to be blasted over those Bayfront Park, Miami speakers in a little over a month. Aside from being the brainchild of three brilliant producers, this track is just downright fun. Check it out below and pick up your copy on Beatport today.

Adrian Lux – Fire (R3hab Remix)

So I know what you’re expecting… heavy, grinding synths that pulsate with a frenetic, Dutch energy, and perhaps a familiar, pop vocal to go along? Such has become the formula for Fadil El Ghoul, or R3hab, and from its inception, the strategy has worked extremely well for the Dutchman. Although in truth, it quickly gained a tone of monotony for this particular writer, as every synth soon began to sound too similar. Not to say that I do not thoroughly enjoy his music. What it really speaks to is the man’s work …

Vodge Diper – Lunar (Free Download)

South Korean producer Vodge Diper has celebrated the Lunar New Year with this freebie download Lunar. Not sure why this popped into my Soundcloud feed today as opposed to 27 days ago when it was originally posted, but whatever!

Deadmau5 – Slip

Progressive house artist Deadmau5 has been featured on many compilation albums including ones from Ibiza and Ultra, and he still continues to put out new songs no matter how booked he is. I mean who has time to troll Skrillex at the grammys and produce at the same time. If you haven’t heard about that just Google ‘Deadmau5 Grammys’ and let the lol’s commence. Either way Deadmau5 has put out a new single available on the Miami 09 album on beatport here: http://www.beatport.com/track/slip-original-mix/3267347 the song most definitely has the feel of his older songs which …

Dirty South & Those Usual Suspects feat. Erik Hecht – Walking Alone (Arty Remix)

Anjunabeats prodigy Arty is slowly announcing his presence to the world of EDM. Holding it down for Russia, the young producer is cementing himself as a staple name in the progressive house/trouse scene. This new offering is hot off the heels of his recent BBC Essential Mix, which if you haven’t checked out, is quite phenomenal. Arty provides complimentary piano chords to the classic “Walking Alone” vocal, while adorning copious amounts of reverb, and a joyous, celebratory-synth laden drop. I can’t wait to see where 2012 takes him. Perhaps more collaborations …

Fedde Le Grand – So Much Love (Deniz Koyu Remix)

I was unaware of German house producer Deniz Koyu until late last year when my ears were jolted with a burst of intrigue at the sound of his momentous “Tung!”. And then came his collaborative remix with Johan Wedel to James Blunt’s “Dangerous” which is still one of my favorite tracks, ever. Other standout productions from the German include “Hertz” and “Hyrda”. Bottomline is that Deniz Koyu is making some serious headway in the industry right now. Koyu brings us this fantastic remix to Fedde Le Grand’s feel good anthem …

Michael Woods – Airborne (Original Mix)

British house sensation Michael Woods has started off 2012 right with his new tune “Airborne”. After claiming absolute dominance in 2011 over the progressive house scene with his original tracks “First Aid”, “Fruitcake”, “Bullet”, “Last Day on Earth”, and “Full Access”, just to name my favorites, Woods continues his hot streak with a brilliant addition to his repertoire of bangin’ progressive house. Starting off with his heavy house bass, introducing a quick, 1-2 piano melody that’s got me thinkin’ of the mau5, adding some stringy, flangery tension, the song culminates in …

Kaskade – Room for Happiness (Remixes)

Skyler Grey… what is it at about your voice… that makes it so damn angelic. In my mind, a pair of luscious lips, shrouded in a cloud of celestial white light, soothingly sing these heart-warming lyrics. Kaskade’s original track, off the phenomenal Fire & Ice, was a gorgeous, progressive house track turned ballad by the accompanying vocals of Skyler Grey. Skyler Grey made her footprint in the EDM world rather accidentally, gaining notoriety through Dirty South’s remix of “Coming Home”, which was literally played at EVERY big EDM show/festival, and …
