If not for you, I may have not had a full look into Drum & Bass, and without you I might not have found a style of Electronic music to appreciate sooo much more than you. I mean, Industrial/Hardcore has always filled that void, but it's such a mood dependent music. Then I discovered Dubstep, which can be enjoyed whenever. Then I discovered Darkstep & realized D&B is probably the most massive genre in the entirety of the Electronic music scene. So thanks, Dubstep. I might not have known about this great style without you.

This is my note to music.

This thread is intended for anyone to write something to any style of music they loved that got them into something more. I have dozens of these, but this is the most recent, so it's written in EJ stone now.

I doubt anyone will be willing, but I encourage you, to do so. It will be a fun exercise in writing as well as a statement of yourself as a user of EJ & it's respective forum.

Interesting, that never dawned on me... Dubstep was the first electronic genre I ever listened to - which then led me to trance, progressive house, dnb, psy-trance, everything...

So yes, thank you dubstep!! Heart
Thanks for participating Jordan Smile
Here's to

This track single handedly sparked my interest in electronica from there i branched out and discovered trance and techno then DnB the trip/glitch-hop and all other genres in general and here's to the Cookie Monsta! the artist i accidentally discovered that changed my music listening experience to be more specific

ahh electronica in general i love you so many sub-genres for the picking and all are fantastic so yes thank you

I forgetted all about LoA, dang, I used to listen to them when I was but a wee angsty teen. Haha.

Cookie Monsta too, man I still blast Frontline to this day even though I tired myself out on him mostly. Frontline KILLED me & is the biggest track to get me into Dubstep, so yes massive respect to Cookie Monsta too mmhmm.

Respect to Broken Note too, I remember first listening to Terminal Static one night all drunk as hell. I was disturbingly impressed, and wasn't sure what I was listening to either. I remember doing drunk research trying to figure out what kind of music they were considered... Certainly some D&B hybrid sort of thing. That's when I came across Dubstep, and I hated the genre at first because I thought the tag "Dubstep" sounded dumb as all hell, but it sounded so great I kept looking & found CM from there... Dang!
