Tell a little about yourself so others can get to know you...
Well, my name is Jordan and I'm 21 years old. I'm finishing up my first year of college as a Psychology major. In my younger years I listened to a lot of pop/punk like blink-182 and then started listening to death metal. Only recently have I become familiar with artists such as STS9, Lotus, and the electronic scene in general. This definitely feels like "home" to me though!
Anyway, my interests are mainly photography, graphic design, writing music, and almost anything outdoors. I have a little bit of redneck in me; I like to snowmobile, go fourwheeling, etc!
Anyone else want to take the mic?

OK. My name is Matt. Im 19. I am originally from Omaha, Ne but lived in Tampa, Fl for 7 years. Now I am back in Omaha. My parents got me started with bands like Pink Floyd, Rush, Zeppelin, and The Grateful Dead. I think all of that psychedelic influence has gotten me to this point of loving electronic music. I am a basement producer, just messing around with Ableton and Acid Pro, Its lots of fun, but nothing too serious. Shpongle is who originally got me hooked on electronic, especially Nothing Lasts...But Nothing is Lost. That album truly changed my life.
Anyways, some of my interests include hiking, coloring, football(Go Huskers!), and dancing my ass off all night. I like to think i am the definition of a psychonaut.
Yeah!!! Nice. My friend (entranced on here) and I recently started messing around in Reason. I will have to make a thread soon with the pieces we are working on.
Lotus was the officially the first electronic band that I listened to and they got me hooked. From there I discovered STS9, Pretty Lights, EOTO, etc. I am still overwhelmed by all the different artists and genres!
Ahoy!
I'm James, I'm 19, I live in the UK. I'm doing I.T in college (I cn fix 'puters n stuff), been doing it for a few years now. My taste in music changes a lot. I've always loved old school dub like King Tubby or Scientist. And I love music like The Dillinger Escape Plan and Converge. Then again I love trip-hop like Massive Attack and DJ Shadow.
When I first started college like 4 years ago a friend introduced me to drum & bass which I adore to this day, I remember loving all of the roots dub influences that I used to pick out.
I first heard dubstep when the same friend introduced me a couple of years ago and at first i thought it was utter shite. Stuff like Rusko and Caspa, i honestly thought it was awful. Then I started listening to the more obscure dubstep producers such as 2562 and Digital Mystikz, those that are less immediately catchy but grow on you after a while, and I was hooked.
Anyway, I can't remember the last time I wrote so much that wasn't about taking a computer apart, so I'll hope to see you around.
Right on! I'm glad to have someone from across the pond. Welcome aboard.

I feel ya on the Rusko and Caspa stuff.
Ah lets see, my name is Kevin, I'm 18, from Ohio. I've always had a hippyish spirit in me, loved art, photography, music, nature since I can remember. I'm also majoring in psychology since I have a huge interest in people and in the way we think, behave, act and so on. My two main goals are to travel as much as I can once I get out of college and then to start up my own Art Therapy business in California. It wasn't until last summer that I really got into the psychedelic jamband/electronic type of music but I've been loving it since, had to the opportunity to meet so many awesome people and have had such a great experience at every festival, soon it will be time for the bigger stuff such as Rothbury and Bonnaroo for me once I save up enough money from work over this Winter.
Thanks for the introduction! As I read all of your posts, it is becoming quite clear to me that we are all quite similar in age, interests, etc... Pretty neat if you ask me.
ahoy,
22; right now studying Music Technology in Wyoming, USA. Was involved in a online radio station in the northwest and expanded my love of the electronic tunes from there. Right now groovin' deep on dnb, goa, breakcore, triphop, downtempo, glitch, and what dub I can track down. Tinkering with Max/Msp, Ableton, & FL. Grew up on vinyl, made the jump to digital for livePa about a year ago. Very much enjoying the posts so far, good vibes all around.
Nice, well I'm glad to have you hear. Music Technology, eh? God I bet that is a fascinating degree program. I can honestly say that I am envious hahaha.
