Umphreys was sooo dope at Summer Camp, I've seen them once at the Intersection in Grand Rapids Michigan and i'm seeing them July 7th.
Never seen them, heard they are pretty sick live though. Pretty sure my friend has seen 'em.
What tracks do you recommend?
Umphreys seems hit or miss to me. They're really hyped in the jam scene but when I saw them at Moe. Down last year though I was dissapointed. The set really didn't do it for me. It's strange though I have a lot of live recordings by them that I love. Maybe I just saw a bad set by them. Willing to give them another chance in a few weeks when I see them at All Good...

Dude... My first show was Umphreys at the House of Blues here in Houston. They opened up with Wizard Burial Ground.. CRAZIEST LIGHT SHOW EVER!!!!! When the song finished they said "that was a little love song from us to you since its been so long since we've been in Houston" oh man gooood stuff.
OMG how did i miss this forum!!! THIS IS MY FAVORITE BAND !!!! I LOVE UMPHREYS soo muuuch!!! They seriously know how to throw down! It's really unfortunate if you catch a bad set. These guys play over 200 shows a year so you have to cut them a little slack when they dont churn out the most badass jams. I've seen them 7 times, only once was it not that great. But i can only attest that to the crowd. they give what they get and that night the crowd was lacking on support, mostly because majority of their fans were seeing PHISH for their halloween weekend show at Indio Fairgrounds. But they never let you leave without sweating your ass off <<<<< )'( UMPH <3 >>>>>
