Looks like Cypress Hill’s interest in EDM wasn’t a one-time thing – now their vocals are being featured in a revisited version of Failbait, a hip hop/house track recorded by deadmau5 over a year ago. Clearly Joel is enjoying his new studio with all of the new tracks we’ve heard over the last couple weeks.

Sometimes I wonder what it would be like to be Joel Zimmerman aka deadmau5, sitting in a studio surrounded by old analog synthesizers and tens of thousands of dollars of production equipment and cranking out these majestic experimental tracks. Every producer can relate to the experimental / work in progress track, which is exactly what Closer is. It has a very warm feel to it, powered by the signature mau5 4×4 beat and accented with overlapping synthesizers.

Deadmau5 has uploaded the revised and finalized version of his earlier track Get In The Cart, Pig and renamed it Get In The October Cart, Pig. What I noticed immediately is the “plucking” synth seems to be a little more pronounced but it still features the catchy tech house beat, capped off with some gentle progressive melodies.

New release from Deadmau5 today is an electro house single, Maths. And on the same day as Slip! It’s a great tune and it’s getting a pretty good reception from YouTube, Soundcloud and other users. Check it out now, and purchase it if you like it.
Maths is definitely one of Joel’s more complex tracks, with lots of big build ups and distortion.

Progressive house artist Deadmau5 has been featured on many compilation albums including ones from Ibiza and Ultra, and he still continues to put out new songs no matter how booked he is. I mean who has time to troll Skrillex at the grammys and produce at the same time. If you haven’t heard about that just Google ‘Deadmau5 Grammys’ and let the lol’s commence. Either way Deadmau5 has put out a new single available on the Miami 09 album on beatport here: http://www.beatport.com/track/slip-original-mix/3267347 the song most definitely has the feel of his older songs which …

Having made good on the hype of his LED live show with five big dates on the just-wrapped Creamfields festival tour and a trip down to Canberra for Warehouse, it would seem as though Deadmau5 has ended his 2011 Australian tour on a slightly sour note, with the Canadian star involved in some fisticuffs with a DJ in Brisbane.
While there’s not yet been an official explanation of the incident, according to Deadmau5’s twitter feed the rodent-crowned producer was punched in the head by a local DJ at the Creamfields after-party …

Deadmau5 has uploaded Cthulhu Dreams, which he describes as an ‘angry’ version of the original track Cthulhu Sleeps, which appeared in his dreams. Interesting nonetheless!

Update! He also added this soundclip titled shit’s fashionable i guess which I’m sure is a slight dig at the dubstep scene.
