Hardwell The Wanted

British pop sensation The Wanted, of “Glad You Came” fame, have debuted a new track, “Chasing the Sun”, whose catchy vocals have since received the remix treatment from none other than Dutch house maestro Hardwell. In typical Robbert Hardwell fashion, the remix is laden with quick and heavy marching style percussion, as well as big room synth leads that compliment the vocal excellently. With its youthful, exuberant lyrics and uplifting melody, this track has summer anthem written all over it. While there is no word on the official release date, …

Veldt Rogus

I couldn’t be happier today to bring you a new remix of Deadmau5‘s recent production, “The Veldt”, by one of UC Berkeley’s own, Patrick Rogers, or Rogus as he is known. Finding a happy medium between the mau5′s teasing 3 minute radio edit and his luscious, though lengthy, 8 minute extended edit, Rogus’s take on “The Veldt” is a comfortable six minutes that just feels right. It amplifies the elegance of the original with lovely choral resonance, giving the track space to breathe. The accompanying piano and synth melodies crafted by …

Bronies have been described by many as the AIDS of the internet, but what these people obviously aren’t aware of is the diversity of this immense fandom. Much of show’s appeal comes from the extremely well written music, all of which is composed by Daniel Ingram. Many people have taken it upon themselves to put their own spin on these songs, and it goes without saying that some are better than others. This progressive house track is one of the best. Archie’s Avicii-esque remix of “Love Is In Bloom” from the season …

Currently set to be released on spearhead records next week, Camo & Krooked’s newest remix is sure to your ears and your speakers a workout. This remix has more bells and whistles than the original, and they sound great. The captivating vocals are driven by a high speed synth lead and a hard hitting, but not overpowering bassline. Michael Woods does it again by blending his distinctly unique progressive influence with Ferry Corsten’s ft. Aruna “Live Forever”. This track has been featured on the 252nd edition of Ferry’s radio show “Corsten’s Countdown”. Set to be released soon on Flashover Recordings this rendition of an already popular song possesses Aruna’s discernibly sensual vocals on top of melodies accompanied by subtle synth harmonies. The chorus begins to build up and before you know it, a driving force of pure excellence presents itself and begins to pump this tune into dance heaven.
Once again Michael Woods has delivered …

Calvertron (with the help of Will Bailey) has once again managed to add some spice and attitude to an electro house banger by completely flipping it on its head with a murderous drop – a drop that succeeds flawlessly at incorporating itself with Laidback Luke’s original jam. The soothing female vocals and catchy house beats blend together effortlessly to create the perfect build up for Calvertron’s audible massacre of wobbles and sizzling basslines. I’ve pretty much grown out of most forms of club hip-hop, but Calvertron does such a good job with this remix that I figured it deserves some time in the spotlight.  Calvertron’s latest remix obviously has some hip-hop vibes through out it (thus the name Patron and Kush), but he does a great job flipping the song on it’s head with a brutal drop and some softer melodies sprinkled throughout to cushion the blow.
Check out Calvertron on Myspace, Facebook, and SoundCloud.
