Followers of Wolfgang Gartner‘s Twitter may have noticed a while back that his profile picture was changed to a cartoon version of himself. That seemingly innocent avatar was the cause of much speculation. The conspiracy theories can now be laid the rest with the release of the official music video for Redline. The cartoon video depicts Wolfgang himself making his way to a concert in his flying automobile, and even warding off some bad guys with his massive speakers en route.
“My manager put it best: ‘It’s like your own personal …

The maestro of electro house, Wolfgang Gartner, has just put out a preview of his upcoming track “Flexx”, stating that he will release the track in three to four weeks. Wolfgang uploaded the preview in response to a barrage of negativity he received from fans disgruntled at his most recent productions, which were far more progressive house sounding than the style he is known for. Gartner responded to the petty criticism on his Facebook, writing, “I have 6 more [tracks] finished, and none of them are progressive house. They’re all …

We originally featured a Summer Festival Guide here on ElectroJams exactly a month ago. And today, we bring you another edition featuring the top Canadian EDM festivals to come around this summer. While the U.S. has had some of the top festivals in the world for the last couple years with Ultra and EDC, the Canadians certainly don’t hold any punches when it comes to planning big time events. With the Canadian university system now out on summer, it could not be a more appropriate time to release this guide, …

After debuting last year as the first ever touring outdoor electronic music festival the Identity Festival is back folks. A raging success last summer, they have stepped it up this year becoming the first people to ever convince Eric Prydz to fly to the states. Maybe he’ll bring those lovely ladies from the gym? At any rate, he’s joined by American electro heavyweight Wolfgang Gartner and Canadian bass monster Excision. Joining them are young phenoms like Madeon and Porter Robinson as well as seasoned vets like Nero and Paul Van …

I’ve got a preview of a forthcoming single from Wolfgang Gartner, who as previously highlighted, is on a path of evolution which I highly support. His new track Redline was supposed to drop on Ultra this month but has been pushed back to May. It has been confirmed that the coming months will bring us many new singles, at the rate of one per month. That’s a lot to look forward to this year! It certainly seems as though Wolfgang is making good use of his new studio.

Tiësto and Wolfgang Gartner have partnered up to produce this forthcoming track We Own The Night featuring Luciana. It’s a pretty bizarre track which I think is having trouble finding a genre. Even stranger though is that neither artist really stands out – honestly it doesn’t sound like either of them.
Tiësto says,
“I’ve been a huge fan of Wolfgang for years. As a producer, there are few out there with the kind of talent he has, so teaming up was always something I was very keen to make happen. I’m really …

Wolfgang Gartner has a new preview up on his Soundcloud called There and Back. Over the last few years, Wolfgang’s sound has progressed substantially and I’m liking the direction. When I first started listening to his work, his tracks were full of explosive, chaotic, and spastic electro wobble. Recently his style has shifted towards a more melodic almost progressive house sound.
So often artists get labeled all kinds of nasty words by some fans when their style changes, but I think for Wolfgang this transformation is only natural. Personally I LOVE …

All right, so I’ll give you readers a quick warning: this isn’t going to be a very good article. Some might like to compare said quality with the quality of the EP I am reviewing – some might not. Either way, this article will be a review of Skrillex’s new release, “Bangarang”.
I’ve listened to this EP a good amount of times, in different scenarios. I tried listening to it whilst browsing the web, checking my email, visiting Reddit. I also tried listening to it whilst playing Battlefield 3, pumped up …

Oh. My. God. There’s something about the hypnotic bass and organ synths in this that not only make this so satsifying and mesmerizing but also a little eerie. Perfect for this season. Before listening to it I was like “Hmm… Not sure if want” and after listening to it I found myself wanting more!
